- PTSD Resolution aims to raise vital funds for pioneering FAITH programme supporting military families affected by trauma

- Every £1 donated between 3-10 December will be matched, helping twice as many veterans and families

- Average treatment cost of £940 delivers proven 61% recovery rate for family members

PTSD Resolution, the military veterans' mental health charity, is taking part in the Big Give's match funding campaign to raise essential funds for its groundbreaking FAITH (Family Assistance & Intervention for Trauma Healing) programme. 

From noon on Tuesday 3rd December until noon on Tuesday 10th December 2024, all public donations will be doubled through matched funding from Big Give Champions, meaning supporters can have twice the impact in helping veterans and their families recover from military trauma.

The FAITH programme, launched in response to growing evidence that trauma affects entire households, delivers free mental health therapy to veterans' family members through PTSD Resolution's nationwide network of 200 qualified therapists.  With FAITH, 68% of the Veterans and family members who engage in therapy see their condition reliably improved, even with long-standing trauma.

Recent data shows 17% of clients of the charity are family members - 65% spouses/partners, 32% children, 3% parents/siblings.

Colonel Tony Gauvain (Retired), Chairman of PTSD Resolution, said:

"When the public donates during the Big Give campaign week, every pound will be matched - meaning a £940 donation will fund a complete course of therapy for two people instead of one. With 17% of our clients being family members of veterans, including partners and children, this funding is crucial. We can help these families heal together, but we need public support to make it happen."

PTSD Resolution operates with no salaried staff or assets, ensuring 93% of donations directly support treatment delivery. The charity is accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has helped over 4,500 people to date.
